With her new single, "Invitation To A Beheading," inspired by the Vladimir Nabokov novel, Jamison confesses to the messiness that ensues after anyone pursues her romantically. While its title and messaging are intense, the track and music video remain lighthearted and fun, demonstrating Jamison's witty personality.
Jamison is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter currently living in Los Angeles, CA. Her original inspiration to cry and write about her feelings came from the likes of Taylor Swift at the early age of six. Jamison later became extremely fond of early 2000's emo music, like All Time Low and Mayday Parade. Now, with the release of "Invitation To A Beheading," Jamison is sure of herself and courageous enough to "let it fucking go," as she proclaims during the song.
The music video for "Invitation To A Beheading" is an absolute must-watch. It starts with Jamison pulling off her best Marie Antoinette in the middle of nowhere with her electric guitar. She's later accompanied by her other high-status friends.
Meanwhile, the song invites you to be messy and a little less proper with your feelings. Jamison is a unique creator who's willing to take risks. Her EP drops this August, and I look forward to the journey.
