Introducing BIRDEE 王煒, The Rising Australian Artist Making Waves with Her New Single - Dreams

BIRDEE 王煒 is a rising star in the Australian music scene whose unique sound and cultural influences have quickly made her a must-hear artist.

Her father was born in Romania and is of Russian and Greek heritage, while her mother is of Chinese descent and was born in Malaysia. She pays homage to her heritage by incorporating traditional dreamlike tunes and modern upbeat electric collaborations in her music, presenting unique perspectives and outlooks on life from a modern face of her generation.

BIRDEE 王煒's music has been praised for its infectious tracks and immersive songwriting by Rolling Stone AU. Her unique sound and cultural influences have quickly made her a must-hear artist, according to Dave Ruby Howe from triple j.

In 2022 she made the decision to move from her hometown of Parkes in regional New South Wales to Sydney to pursue her music career. This move, combined with a relationship breakdown, led BIRDEE 王煒 to reflect on the importance of experiencing life on her own and learning to be present with herself.

BIRDEE 王煒's latest 2023 music project - "Dreams" was released on April 28th, you can stream here.
