Rising UK anti-pop star Artemas returns with his latest banger, "i like the way you kiss me." Fueled by moody 808s and pulsating synths, the breakout artist puts fans in a trance and gets their hearts racing as he weaves a story of chance encounters and heartache.

The track opens a dark, retro-futuristic sound collage featuring thrumming bass grooves, dreamy, melancholic guitar riffs, and catchy, pop-infused percussion patterns and effects. Over the alluring production, Artemas reveals the infectious earworm of a chorus, using his crooning, gloomy vocals to juxtapose the track's kinetic energy. He sings to his lover, "I like the way you kiss me, I can tell you miss me / I can tell it hits, hits, hits, hits / Not tryna be romantic, I'll hit it from the back / Just so you don't get attached."

In the emotive verses, the singer-songwriter paints a picture of a strained relationship, coping with disappointment and uncertainty about where he and his partner stand. He sings over the hypnotizing soundscape, "You say we'rе done, but here you stay / Said you'rе scared, I'll let you down / Stick around and you'll find out / But don't you wanna make me proud?"

"i like the way you kiss me" follows the success of Artemas's latest project, Pretty, which features his viral hit single "if you think i'm pretty." We praised the 13-track collection as "a slow descent into madness," which sees the rising phenom at his most raw while showcasing his eclectic musicality and scattered state of mind.
